What are your thoughts about Summerfest?

“I love the people, the music, the food, the experience. It’s really nice because it appeals to all kinds of people. I am getting old so the biggest downfall is probably the traffic and price. Maybe sometimes what comes with it is the overcrowding. It gets frustrating.”
Aaron Paulin, West social studies teacher

“I love being around a ton of people. I love the atmosphere. I pretty much like everything except the long waits to get foods, beverages and the overall smell. It’s more than just the trash. I wish they regulated what came into the event from outside.”
Michael Anderson, student teacher

“They have a bunch of cool shops that sell jewelry and clothes and stuff. It does smell horrible. It’s super crowded. I went to see Yung Gravy and there were people being really rude. There were girls getting on people’s shoulders. You couldn’t see the stage. When we went we parked nearby but walked to a bar that was doing buses to Summerfest. When we got there they were loading as many people as they could, it’s very hot, and you were smooshed next to strangers”
Emelia Grueneberg, West senior

“It’s just really crowded. It’s easy to get separated from your group. I would also say that parking is hard due to the volume of people in Milwaukee who go to Summerfest. And Milwaukee’s public transportation isn’t good enough to handle the amount of people.”
Mindara Krueger-Olson, WBHS orchestra teacher

“The music is lit. The tickets and food are expensive and the lineup this year isn’t the greatest.”
Faith Mueller, East ninth grader

I like Summerfest because of the people I get to see. The price of it all and waiting in long lines (stink) though.”
Sal Martinez, East senior
