The West Bend Current is a news website produced jointly by the students of East High and West High in West Bend, Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide quality information for high school readers and the local community as participants learn the principles of journalism.
If you are a student at WBHS interested in journalism, the Current has staff openings for reporters, investigative journalists, columnists, entertainment reviewers, copy editors and photographers. Please see Mr. Beltmann in Room 2731 for details.
The Current welcomes submissions from all students, faculty, administrators and community members, but reserves the right to edit for length or content. Any column, editorial or letter to the editor expresses the opinion of the author and not necessarily the entire staff. Submissions must meet the standard of school-appropriate discussion. Reader comments are moderated in accordance with that same standard.
