West Bend High School hosted a choir concert this past Monday night. Many people came to see their children sing, and all of them left smiling. The music departments collaborated and the orchestra joined in helping play some holiday music. They had bell players and madrigal singers. Everyone seemed extremely proud of how well they performed.
Mixed Choir sang “Carols Around,” “Jubilate,” and “Go Tell it on the Mountain”. Concert Choir sang “Cantate Domino,” “Animal Crackers,” “Lo How A Rose ‘Er Blooming,” and “The Fiddler Of Dooney”. Vivace sang “Christmas Chopstix,” “Mr. Santa,” and “Mama Mia”.
Two of the soloists in Mixed Choir were Wesley Kane and Jordan Buchacher. In Concert Choir, the soloists were Danielle Gedemer and Margee Muney. They all did a fantastic job.
At the end of the concert, all of the choirs surrounded the seats. The crowd looked confused, and out of nowhere, they started to sing “Silent Night”. It was a great crowd pleaser, and following the concert, everyone got cookies. Overall, the choir concert was a great success.
