Kolb takes first in Solo Acting Humorous forensics category

The West Bend High Schools are home to three of the funniest students in the state of Wisconsin.

East junior Emily Kolb took first place in the category Solo Acting Humorous at the state forensics tournament held April 7 at the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater. West Bend Prepares to Host State Debaters

WBHS will host state debate tourney for fourth consecutive year

Days before the state debate tournament, coach Doris Sexton was deliberating with custodians rather than her speakers.

Starting Saturday, the West Bend High Schools will host the Wisconsin State Debate Tournament. Around 300 high school students from all over Wisconsin will come to West Bend for two days of competition. For those who host the tournament, it’s a lot more than just a weekend competition. Much work and preparation goes into hosting this tournament, and everybody, from coaches to custodians, gets involved. Continue reading

Forensic Scientist: Sexton Begins 45th Season

Hall of Fame coach has guided generations of local talent

Not many NFL coaches can claim a 45-year tenure, but there’s one living in West Bend.
