“Mrs. Proudfoot made a significant impact on me. She was a wonderful teacher and truly cares about her students. She’s the right kind of strict. She taught me the value of writing and got me more into reading.”
Molly Treacy, West junior

“Mrs. Krueger-Olson made a huge impact on me all throughout high school. She creates a safe space for everyone and a lot of students feel comfortable confiding in her for anything. She truly goes the extra mile for her students and has such a gentle yet strong personality and I look up to her a lot.”
Shiloh Peters, East junior

“Mrs. Becker, from Honors English I, has definitely stuck with me. I still catch myself yelling ‘Child!’ at my misbehaving younger sister like she would always do to us stupid freshmen. Mrs. Becker just has this approachable way about her where you know you can talk to her about anything, or ask any question, and she’ll be happy to listen.”
Sam Wolfe, East junior

“Ms. Konz had a huge impact on my high school experience. She introduced me to the sciences in an amazing way. Her teaching kept me engaged. And we can joke around about how I maybe wasn’t the quietest student ever. But freshman year biology is one of the best classes I have ever had and Ms. Konz is a huge part of that.”
Matthew Jeziorski, East senior

“Mr. Hartman’s English III class is one I can look back on incredibly positively. He is a very patient and kind person who always had a place for students in his room. Every day each of us knew we would see Mr Hartman outside his door with a smile, ready to bring a new kind of positivity to English. He’s a great listener, and helped English stand out and have more meaning to me.”
Addison Turecek, East senior

“Mr. Zarling, the anatomy and physiology teacher, has made a large impact in my high school career. Up until having his class I had barely had any teachers that I actually built a strong relationship with. Mr. Zarling taught me how to study properly, how to be more confident in my skills, all while helping me through my hardest class ever. Before Mr. Zarling I didn’t know what I wanted to do after high school, but while I was in his class I decided that I wanted to be a nurse.  Mr. Zarling is one of the funniest, nicest, and most caring teachers I have ever had.”
Kira Zechlin, West senior
